The information technology systems in theFrankfurtdealing room of Salomon Brothers AG were unable to provide dealers with correct information within the required time frames. Admiralty International provided expertise in areas of design, development and implementation using the latest client-server technologies and rapid prototyping. The systems provided by Admiralty were eventually adopted by Salomon for its entire European operation.
Germany: Liquidation of Liner Company
Loan recovery as DDG Hansa, a 99 year old liner company, went into liquidation. We were responsible for direct negotiations with other lenders, Hansa’s provisional board of directors and competing shipping companies. Bank of America was the second largest lender, but came out of the collapse of Hansa without a loss. By contrast, the German banking community is estimated to have lost over DM500 million.
